Xiaomi Assets Worth Over Rs 5,551 Crore Seized in India In an official tweet today, the Enforcement Directorate confirmed that it has seized a whopping Rs 5,551 crore sum from Xiaomi’s bank accounts. This move comes after an investigation was launched into the Chinese giant’s practices back in February. The federal agency started the probe in regards to alleged illegal remittances to a foreign entity. ED has seized Rs.5551.27 Crore of M/s Xiaomi Technology India Private Limited lying in the bank accounts under the provisions of Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 in connection with the illegal outward remittances made by the company....

Activision Blizzard Working on Warcraft Mobile Game Although not much is known about the title, the company mentioned that it is working on “substantial new content for the Warcraft franchise in 2022,” which includes “all-new mobile Warcraft content.” While Microsoft prepares to buy Activision Blizzard this year for a hefty $68.7 billion, the company recently revealed its future plans in its quarterly and annual earnings reports. These plans include the upcoming Call of Duty title, which could be a sequel to the COD: Modern Warfare storyline, and a new mobile version of its uber-popular World of Warcraft franchise....

As announced in an official blog post, Adobe today has finally released the Spark app for Android in beta, the app which has been available on Web and iOS for a while now. It is the company’s storytelling app that includes ‘Page,’ ‘Post,’ and ‘Video.’ The app can create collages, flyers, and social posts based on a set of templates. The app will have access to the same set of fonts, shapes, color palettes, design filters, templates that are available on iOS and web....

Interestingly, Ahmedabad and Navi Mumbai were the only tier 1 cities in the country that made it to OpenSignal’s top 10 list. Other top positions were occupied by tier 2 and tier 3 cities such as Surat, Thane, and Rajkot. In addition, just four of the eight tier 1 cities were in the top 20 positions. Moreover, cities in the states of Gujarat and Maharashtra dominated the list. To be specific, seven of the top ten cities on OpenSignal’s list were from either of the states....

According to an anonymous source cited by the report, “PUBG is in early conversation with Airtel for handing over distribution rights to the telecom giant. This desperation shows that PUBG has been trying hard to get back into the Indian market”. Neither PUBG Corp, nor Airtel, has issued any official statement on the matter, but we should expect to hear more sooner rather than later. New Apple AR Headset Details Surface The latest report by The Information reveals that Apple might add an iris scanner to its AR/VR headset. This biometric authentication method will help people wearing the headset easily log into their accounts and even proceed with payments. The functionality will scan the iris of the user wearing the headset, allowing different people to have their accounts logged in once they wear it. The internal cameras on the headset will be used for the purpose....

Apple’s AR/ VR Headset Might Not Launch This Year A Bloomberg report reveals that the alleged Apple AR/ VR product has camera, overheating, and software issues, which is the reason why its launch may be delayed by a few months. Earlier, it was speculated to launch this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), alongside the next-gen iOS 16, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS operating systems. Dark Sky for iOS Shut Down in 2022 Dark Sky updated its blog post earlier this week to clarify that the iOS app, website, and support for its API will be available until the end of 2022. That’s another way of saying that Dark Sky won’t work after 2022. “Support for the Dark Sky API service for existing customers will continue until the end of 2022.
