If you remember, Jio received a ton of flak when it decided to start charging for calls users make to other domestic networks earlier last year. The company had promised users lifetime free calls when it launched in India back in 2016. Due to a delay in the implementation of the ‘Bill and Keep regime‘ by TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) in 2020, Jio says that it had no option but to charge the applicable IUC (interconnect usage charges) when you make calls to networks outside Jio....

Researchers Yuhang Jiang and Lukun Zheng are the ones who came up with the concept. The duo recently published a research paper, dubbed “Deep learning for video game genre classification”, that explains the use of a large training database, created by them, to categorize video games based on their cover images and texts. How Did They Develop the Model? In order to create the initial database, the researchers took 50,000 video game titles with their cover images, description texts, title texts, and genre info....

The report comes from a Korean YouTuber named Super Roader (via LetsGoDigital), who is apparently a former Samsung Electronics employee. In one of his latest videos, Super Roader revealed that the Korean giant is aiming to utilize the upcoming Snapdragon 898 chipset for its Galaxy S22 devices in all the markets worldwide. Currently, Samsung uses Qualcomm’s flagship chipsets for its Galaxy S-series in certain markets, while it uses in-house Exynos chipsets in other markets such as India, South Korea, and others....

That’s according to Samsung Semiconductor China Research Institute director, Dr. Pan Xuebao, who revealed last month that the chip will come with the all-new ARM Cortex-A78 CPU cores and the ARM Mali-G78 GPU. According to ICEA National chairman, Pankaj Mohindroo, the industry was unable to ramp up its display panel production this year because of the pandemic-related lockdowns. “In a rare miss, the industry could not ramp up display assembly production adequately because of Covid and NGT embargo. We continue to be fully committed to domestic manufacturing of sub-assemblies and components.
