5G Expected to Be Much Faster than 4G LTE Ookla’s latest report considers the 5G download speeds before the official launch of 5G on October 1. The 5G download speeds reached 500Mbps and ranged from low double-digit (16.27Mbps) to 809.94Mbps. It is said that the telecom operators are still gauging their networks and speeds are expected to become more stable. 5G is expected to be much faster than 4G LTE. The report says that this can happen easily under conditions like no network congestion and ideal network coverage....

According to reports, the attack was carried out by a hacking group named Desorden. The group reportedly stole large amounts of data, including customer information as well as Acer’s internal business data. The group has shared a video on the hacker’s forum as evidence of the leak. The 60GB leaked data includes customer information of over 10,000 customers and other business information of 3,000 distributors and retailers. Acer has reportedly confirmed the breach to ZDNet and said that it originated from the company’s local after-sales service system in India....

Digital IDs Now Available iPhone users in Arizona can now easily add their driver’s license or the state ID to Apple Wallet, thus, having a way to easily show their IDs while traveling. The Apple Digital IDs can be presented at select TSA security checkpoints in Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. The patent, “Provision of domains in secure enclave to support multiple users” (well, that’s a mouthful), was recently granted to Apple. This patent explains the technology required to allow one or more users to securely access one Apple device. The company even mentioned “both single-user mobile computing devices and multi-user laptop and desktop computing devices.” “A computing device can employ several passcodes and associated encryption keys, where multiple passcodes or encryptions keys may be associated with each different user account on the system,” explains the patent....
