AMD Ryzen 5000 C-Series CPUs Details AMD, via an official press release, has revealed the new Ryzen 5000 C-series processors for future Chrome OS-powered devices. There are four new CPUs under the Ryzen 7, 5, and 3 line, and the company says that these include the world’s first high-performance octa-core x86 processor for Chromebooks. Under the new Ryzen 5000 C-series line, there is the Ryzen 7 5825C with an 8-core and 16-thread design and the Ryzen 5 5625C with a 6-core and 12-thread design....

Hide Notch on New M1 Pro and M1 Max MacBook Pro In case you are out of the loop, it all started when YouTuber Quinn Nelson tweeted videos where the menubar items of certain apps went behind the notch. In addition, there are some inconsistencies with the mouse pointer’s behavior when you take it near the notch. Apple has now published a support post with a workaround to hide the notch while using misbehaving apps....

Battlefield Mobile Beta on Android Battlefield Mobile will be available in beta on Android devices this fall. To begin with, EA will roll out Battlefield Mobile beta in Indonesia and the Philippines. The company hopes to expand the testing ring in the future. All progress will be wiped at the end of the test ahead of the public rollout. Bose claims that the new model also comes with a bunch of other improvements and enhancements over its predecessor. Users can now set an alarm and adjust the volume through the ‘Bose Sleep’ App, which is available for free on Android and iOS. In addition, there are now three new categories of content, including 14 noise-masking tracks, 15 naturescapes and 10 ‘tranquilities’. The device is IPX4 rated for water and sweat resistance, and comes with a new NiMH battery that the company claims will offer up to 10 hours of usage on a single charge....

After a myriad of rumors, Google released the first developer preview of Android 12 recently. Amongst various new features of the latest Android version, the Mountain View giant finally added a dedicated one-handed mode. And it is uncannily similar to the one-handed mode which is present in iOS. XDA Developer’s chief editor, Mishaal Rahman (@MishaalRahman) discovered the one-handed mode inside the Settings menu. Later, Rahman shared a video (attached below) showcasing how the feature works....

First spotted by Techdows, the feature is not functional yet and currently exists behind a Chrome flag in the latest Canary build. Once enabled, the feature will show shopping ads based on your Google activity on Chrome across Mac, Windows, Linux, and Chrome OS. “You’re seeing this item based on your previous activity using Google services. Earth Day 2022 Google Doodle Isn’t Rosy at All! Google has shown the climatic change over the years via time-lapse videos created from satellite imagery and photographs from The Ocean Agency. The first imagery is a look at the glacier retreat at Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa. This time-lapse includes the period from 1986 to 2020 with each image taken in December every year. The second GIF also showcases a glacier retreat in Sermersooq, Greenland....

Paced Walking, for those unaware, is essentially a dedicated activity mode that allows users to pace-walk or brisk-walk easily. Paced walking, also known as Brisk Walking, is a form of walking exercise that involves walking at faster speeds. And the Paced Walking feature on the Google Fit app allows you to do just that, and also plays a metronome-like beat in the background to keep your pace consistent. So, if the feature is available on your device, you can find it as a new card on the Google Fit app’s Home tab....

The company boosts mobile productivity by giving you the option to upload any Word, Excel, or Powerpoint files to Google Drive and work on it together with others in real-time without the need to convert them to any other format. All three apps, including Docs, Sheets, and Slides have been updated to support this feature. It is enabled by default and admins don’t need to change any settings to enable collaboration for MS Office files....
