Microsoft Announces Windows 11 on ARM Devkit Project Volterra, as explained by Microsoft, is designed to give developers the hardware and software platform to build apps for Windows on ARM. This mini desktop PC is powered by the Snapdragon compute platform. Microsoft has not shared many details about its specs, but it is said to have an announced Snapdragon chipset under the hood. As for the design, the developer kit (pictured in the header image) resembles the Mac Mini in shape and size....

Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 on Geekbench As per the Geekbench listing, Snapdragon 898 is expected to have the codename ‘taro’. The listing is based on a Vivo prototype phone with the model number vivo V2102A. That’s likely a sign that we could at least expect a single Vivo flagship featuring Snapdragon 898 soon after the chipset’s launch. The device in question has 8GB of RAM and runs on Android 12. It shows a single-core score of 720 and a multi-core score of 1919....

No More Cryptos in India? Samsung has followed Apple’s lead and can no longer mock the Cupertino giant for its environmental protection practices. The company wants to be equally generous to the environment as its arch-rival Apple. This has a two-fold purpose. Now, if a new leak is to be believed, it seems Samsung is also looking to bring the S21 out to market faster than ever before. That’s not entirely new information, but it does seem to corroborate previous rumors about an earlier launch. According to Roland Quandt, Samsung seems to have started production on the Galaxy S21 Ultra. That’s earlier than usual, and does seem to fit in with other rumours regarding an earlier than usual launch for next year’s flagship models....

So, before going to the price and availability details, let me give you a quick rundown of the specs and features of the two new Galaxy Book Go devices. Samsung Launches Galaxy Book Go Series The Galaxy Book Go and the Galaxy Book Go 5G are pretty similar devices. They both feature a 14-inch 1080p LCD panel with minimal bezels and a 180-degree hinge design. However, the entry-level Galaxy Book Go rocks the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 CPU, which was announced last month....

The new functionality was first spotted by some users last month. However, the feature was only in beta back then and was available to a handful of users, and it’s only now that it is being widely rolled out. If you want to sync the two services, you’ll be asked to log in with your Microsoft credentials and approve the connection. Do note that the tasks that were already created before the update won’t sync, and there’s apparently no way to get around that....

The feature is already supported by a number of first-party apps and services from Apple, including Messages and Home. However, given that the API is also available for all developers, it should only be a matter of time before more third-party apps and services incorporate the new functionality in the days to come. Thanks to the incoming update to Telegram beta on iOS and iPadOS, Apple’s virtual digital assistant will now be able to read out and reply to messages from the popular messaging service even when the device itself – whether an iPhone or an iPad – is locked....

Twitter’s Edit Option Now in Testing! Twitter has revealed that it is internally testing the Edit Tweet feature and will eventually expand it to Twitter Blue users later this month. Now the catch we talked about is that this will initially be a paid feature. It will be a small group of people who will test the Edit option and after observing its implications and uses, Twitter will roll it out to more users, possibly the ones who use the app’s free version....

In response to user queries, Twitter clarified that the voice tweets feature is coming to Android and the web next year. However, the exact availability remains unclear for now. “Next year. We’re currently working on bringing this feature to Android in 2021…Same deal –– working on bringing this feature to web next year”, wrote the company in separate tweets. In the tweet announcing the broader availability of voice tweets on iOS, Twitter also mentions that the company is working to add transcription on audio and video by early 2021....

President Biden signed a new executive order that directs the Commerce Department to monitor software applications such as TikTok that could potentially affect the national security of the country. Moreover, the Department of Commerce has 120 days to make recommendations to protect the data of US citizens that are acquired by companies controlled by Chinese companies....
