What’s more, the popular Rs. 199 plan will now come with additional benefits like data rollover and family add-ons to better compete with private-sector rivals. It will apparently come with 25GB of data with rollover up to 75GB alongside unlimited on-net voice calling, 300 minutes of off-net minutes and 100 SMSes per day....

The incident occurred back in July when the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) spotted a 2019 Tesla Model S speeding on a highway near a small town in Alberta Province. According to an official blog post by Cyble, one of the leaked databases includes names, email addresses and mobile numbers, while another one showcases donation details, including bank reference numbers, payment modes, etc. As per the second database, the donations were made to a variety of causes, including CoVID-19 relief, Swachh Bharat and other national issues, but also includes political contributions to the BJP. What’s even more alarming is that the researchers say they strongly suspect the data is already being “misused for criminal purposes”, although, there’s no more information in that regard....

New End-to-End Encryption Features in Facebook Messenger Facebook Messenger now has the new “Screenshot Notification” feature, which will notify you when someone takes a screenshot of disappearing messages in end-to-end encryption chats. To recall, this feature was already available in Messenger’s Vanish mode. This is similar to Snapchat’s proprietary feature. Since Facebook has yet again copied Snapchat, it is likely that this might get introduced for WhatsApp and even Instagram. It is expected to roll out for users in the coming weeks....

The decision comes based on feedback from Chrome’s enterprise customers in light of the global pandemic. The company says it will continue to “evaluate the conditions our enterprise customers are facing, and communicate any additional changes in the future.” Google points out that migrating to Windows 10 was part of the roadmap of many organizations this year. According to a Kantar study commissioned by Google Chrome Enterprise in the second quarter of this year, almost 21 percent of companies are in the process of migrating to Windows 10, while at least 1 percent have not even started the migration process....

New Android Features Announced In an official blog post, Google has introduced new widgets for its Google Play Books, YouTube Music, and Google Photos apps. The Play Books widget will allow you to easily access your library of books, the YouTube Music widget will provide playback controls on the home screen, and the Google Photos widget will help you access your loved ones/ pets’ photos right from the home screen. Google Sells Stadia Tech as “Google Stream” According to a recent report (paywalled) by Business Insider, Google has started selling Stadia’s technology as a service to select partners such as Bungie, Peloton, and a few others. The company is calling its offering “Google Stream” and marketing it as a technology that other companies can use to power their games or build a streaming platform much like its own. While Peloton is reportedly using the Stadia tech to power its fitness-focused games for exercising-bikes like “Lanebreak”, Bungie had plans to build its own cloud game-streaming platform like Stadia....

Android 12 May Get a Trash Bin Section Going by the report, Android 12 may have a unified option to manage trash files from Settings -> Storage. From here, users may see the number of files in the trash along with the option to permanently delete them. However, the option to restore trashed items seems to be missing in its current state. The report also suggests that it is not likely to be a full-fledged recycle bin or trash folder....

YouTube channel Gem Stadia first spotted evidence regarding Google’s work to support Stadia via Safari in the source code of Stadia’s web app. “New! Play on this browser – Gameplay here is still in development. As we test performance and add more features, your feedback will help us improve the Stadia experience for everyone,” reads the description. The Mountain View-based tech giant recently announced that users, with the Google Fit app on their Pixel devices, will be able to measure their heart rate and rate of respiration only using the devices’ front-facing cameras. Intel 13th Gen CPUs Specs Leaked As per an image shared on the Chinese social media platform BiliBili, Intel’s 13th Gen S and K-series processors will come with support for 65W and 125W TDP, respectively. They will also come with increased cache, up to 36MB as compared to the Intel 12th Gen CPUs. There will be the Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, and Core i9 models.
