This Year’s Apple Watch to Get Satellite Connectivity! Gurman, via his recent “Power On” newsletter, revealed that the Apple Watch is “destined” to get satellite connectivity support, which could either happen for this year’s Apple Watch or for the 2023 model. The newsletter also reiterates that iPhone 14 series will come with support for satellite connectivity, which the iPhone 13 couldn’t get as the functionality wasn’t ready to launch. USB-C to Soon Become Mandatory in India The Government of India and a few agencies recently held a meeting of the Central Inter-Ministerial Task Force to discuss standardizing charging ports of electronic devices in India. Apple Wants to Focus More on Services A recent report by Seeking Alpha, citing a research note from Loop Capital, states that Apple has reduced the production of its iPhone models by 9 million units. Furthermore, analyst John Donovan says that the tech giant is aiming to cut its iPhone build orders in 2022 to get it in the range of 245 million and 250 million units. Chip Shortage to Last Until 2023: Intel CEO During a recent interview with CNBC, Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger discussed the repercussions that the company faced due to the ongoing chip shortage. Gelsinger revealed that the global shortage has affected its PC chip business in the third quarter of 2021. He also revealed that the company saw an 8% decrease in its stock value during the said quarter. “We’re in the worst of it now, every quarter next year we’ll get incrementally better, but they’re not going to have supply-demand balance until 2023,” said Gelsinger during the interview....
